Data Recovery from RAID 0 Arrays
RAID 0 Consists of 2 or more drives. The data is striped across the array in pre defined blocks, typically 64kb per stripe.

Advantages of RAID 0
RAID 0 offers high speed data transfer. Data is read in order from Disk 0 Stripe A1, Disk 1 stripe A2, etc. Data is normally read synchronously and in theory is twice as fast as a standalone drive
Disadvantages of RAID 0
RAID 0 offers no redundancy so when one drive fails, the entire data is inaccessible. Therefore RAID 0 should only be used for temporary storage and regular backups need to be performed.
Typical Uses of RAID 0
RAID 0 is ideal for, video editing, music, large multi-user databases, (e.g. SQL Server, Exchange Servers - but see RAID 5) or any other high performance - fast data access requirement, but it should be emphasized that backing up data stored on RAID 0 equipment is crucial.. RAID 0 is sometimes used on high performance arcade gaming machines.
