We can recover data from failed servers from the entire Compaq range. Including drives in HP/Compaq SAS and SCSI enclosures, built in SCSI drives and ATA/SATA drives running Windows, Linux and UNIX based operating systems. We can also recover from Virtual Machine based operating systems such as VMWare, HyperV and all other virtualisation platforms.
We have developed proprietary software in order to deal with HP/Compaq RAID 5 and 6 systems because of the delayed parity mechanism.
A list of Compaq servers that we are able to recover from is below. for Hewlett Packard Servers please see our HP Server Recovery
Data Recovery of a Compaq Raid system will require a complete understanding of how the parity block is calculated for each data stripe.
The main product range was known as the Proliant Server and typical RAID configurations are RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 5, RAID 10 and 50 were seen too - Some modern HP servers also use RAID 6 and we are able to recover data from all HP and Compaq RAID configurations. HP dropped their HP NetServer brand when they merged with HP and stuck with Proliant.
If your Compaq server contains critical data, please, do not take any risks attempting to recover the data. The chances are that if you are getting warning or error messages concerning the raid controller, blue screens, or if strange noises are emanating from the server or disk storage enclosure, then the best option would be to turn off the computer and any directly attached storage system and get expert help.
